How can I join a “Group”?

Following complete registration with Amalana, you can simply join a group by visiting the “Groups” section and clicking the “Join Group” link next to the group of your preference.

How can I create my own “Group”?

You can simply do this from your own “Profile” page. All you need to do is go to “My Groups” section and click the link “Add Group” and complete the group registration process.

Can I invite only my friends to a “Group”?

Absolutely. When completing the group registration process, choose the option “Friends” for “Privacy Settings” and your friends will be the only ones allowed accessing your group. So go ahead and invite them.

What is a “Blog”?

A “Blog” is there for you to share your own views. You can access your “Blog” section by clicking on “My Blogs” on your profile page.

How do I create my own “Blog”?

You can do so by clicking on “My Blogs” on your profile page and then click on “Post New Blog”. You are good to go.

How can I invite my Friends to Amalana?

You can invite all your friends to Amalana’s website while going through the third step of the registration process. Alternatively, you may invite your friends by entering your friends e-mail address within the “Invite Friends” banner.

How can I import my contacts from my other e-mail accounts?

Amalana currently provides you with the option of importing your contacts from the following e-mail accounts; GMAIL, Yahoo, Hotmail, and AOL.

How can I log into my own account?

You can log into your own account by clicking on “Sign in” on Amalana’s homepage.

Can anyone see the pictures I posted in “My Photos” section on my profile?

Amalana provides you with the option of selecting whether you wish to allow the general public to view your photos and compete for the “Top Photos” section on the homepage or restrict view to only your friends. This can be done by selecting “Public” for general public view or “friends” for only your friends’ views under “Privacy Settings” when creating an album.

Can anyone see the videos I posted in “My Videos” section on my profile?

You can access Amalana’s Education Community at www.amalana.com/education.

Do I need to re-register all my Personal Information all over again to enroll in the Education Community?

No. We know that it is annoying to constantly fill-out your personal information every time you need to enroll in a service. Therefore, your personal information will be directly transferred based on the information which you have entered when you created your account with Amalana. All what you need to fill-out is new information pertaining to the Education Community.

Can a Parent view Album Photos and Classmates of a Student?

No. A parent is only allowed to see the student’s teachers’ list.

Can I set-up an appointment with my Professor through Amalana’s Services?

Yes. There are two ways of doing this. You can either send your professor an e-mail to their Amalana inbox or you can request their assistance through the “Resource Booking” feature available at your profile. All you need to do is click on “Book Request” and tell your professor what you need.

How do I know that my Student wishes to set an Appointment with me?

Always check your Amalana inbox to verify whether you have received an e-mail from your students. If not, you need to check under the section entitled “Resource Booking Requests.”

How can I participate for a specific competition?

Following registeration with Amalana, you can take part in any competition by just filling the competition form by visiting the “Competitions” section and selecting the competition category you wish to participate in.

How can I use the dating feature of Amalana?

Follwong registeration with Amalana, you can use the dating feature by visiting the “Dating” link on the homepage.

How do I change my settings?

All your settings are stored in the database. To alter them, visit your "Profile" and click on “My Settings” link to modify them accordingly.

How do I post a topic in a forum?

Click the “Add New” button within the Forum section in which you wish to post a new topic.

How can I upload video files on Amalana?

Click on “My Videos” located on your profile page and then click on “Upload New Video” button. 

How can I upload an audio files on Amalana?

Click on “My Music” located on your profile page and then click on “Upload New Music” button.

How can I read my mails on Amalana?

You can read your mail messages by clicking on “Mail” on the top-right section of the homepage upon signing into your Amalana account. You may also directly access your mails by going directly to www.amalana.com/my_inbox.

How can I send mail to a friend on Amalana?

You will need to go to your friend’s profile and click on “Send Message”. Should you not be connected yet with your friend, then you can send him or her a message by searching for your friend from the “Find Friends” search engine located under “Friends” link. Once you locate your friend, you can then send him or her a message by clicking on “Send Message.”
